Engage with Honors & Scholars during a trip to Rocky Top! During the fall and spring semesters, you can meet with our Honors Ambassadors throughout the week by signing up for a Host-A-Student visit. Host-A-Student visits allow prospective students to get a first-hand look at the honors experience. Our ambassadors will host you during one of their classes, take you for a coffee or a bite to eat, explain our different programs, and chat with you about what to expect from your UT education.

Host-a-Student is unavailable at this time but will return mid-September for the fall term.

Additionally, meetings with an Honors Admissions representative are available schedule permitting. Please contact Sarah Hunter at sarahhunter@utk.edu to schedule one of these visits.

Honors & Scholars Events

Join us for events on-campus, off-campus, and virtually throughout the fall and spring semesters! Our events help prospective students and their families understand the vast academic opportunities UT has to offer. By incorporating Honors & Scholars staff, current honors students, honors alumni, and other offices on campus, our events help you better picture your life on Rocky Top. Many of our events are invitation only. Scholars interested in an honors experience should be sure to make an account on govols.utk.edu and/or submit their UT applications to begin receiving invitations. You can also reach out to our Admissions Coordinator to see if any events are upcoming. Additionally, we are represented at many of UT’s events for prospective students!
