Whitney Woodington

Honors Coach

Biography

Whitney joined the Honors & Scholars Programs as an Honors Coach in September 2021. She previously worked as a Mentor & Tutor for student-athletes at the University of Mississippi, and she also worked one-on-one with undergraduate students as a graduate researcher and teaching assistant.
 
Her main responsibilities include:
  • Working with honors students to help them create academic success plans
  • Helping honors students achieve their goals and improve their study-skills
  • Teaching first-year courses for honors students
 
In addition to working with students, Whitney also enjoys hiking in nature, writing, and spending time with her pets.

Education

Whitney received her B.A. in English (2007) and her J.D. (2010) from the University of Alabama. She also received her M.A. in Psychology (2012) from New Mexico State University.
