Teresa Slade

Honors Mentor

Class of 2016
Knoxville, TN

Teresa is from good ol’ Knoxville, Tennessee. She is a sophomore majoring in Kinesiology, with hopes of becoming a physical therapist (plus part-time volleyball coach) and later doing medical missions. She chose UT and the Chancellor’s Honors Program because she knew it was a great deal for an excellent education. This year on campus, she was involved with the Honors Council Community Service Committee, the Women’s Club Volleyball team, her hall’s residents association, and the pre-health Honors society, Alpha Epsilon Delta. She is also a part of Sigma Phi Lambda and an Assistant Volleyball Coach at her alma-mater, Christian Academy of Knoxville. You can also find her hanging out with my friends and family, doing jigsaw puzzles, relaxing in her hammock outside, or playing ultimate Frisbee. One interesting fact about Teresa—a point on her bucket list is to attend at least one event for every sport that UT offers! She absolutely can’t wait to introduce you to life here at UT—it’s been such an enjoyable and meaningful experience for her, and she knows it will be for you, too! She is so excited to be a Peer Mentor and to welcome you to the University of Tennessee!
