As the President of American Red Cross Club at school, Sophia Cui serves her community through fire safety canvassing, raising awareness about health issues, organizing blood drives, and fundraising. She is also the founder of UNICEF (United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund) Club and vice-president of HOSA (Future Health Professionals). Sophia spends her free time volunteering at a number of hospitals, helping patients and assisting medical staff. She was selected to be a part of the prestigious Medical Explorations Program at the University of Tennessee Medical Center where she shadowed and observed doctors of various disciplines and attended lecture series. In addition, she has lettered for four years in varsity tennis at school and is ALL-KIL (Knoxville Interscholastic League). Currently, she plays the number one spot on the team and serves as its captain. Sophia hopes to pursue a career in public health and medicine in the future.
