Morgan Baltz

Chemical Engineering


Morgan Baltz graduated in Chemical Engineering with a concentration in Biochemical Molecular Biology. Morgan's honors thesis project, under Dr. Eric Boder, is entitled Characterization of Hemagglutinin Mutants for the Elucidation of an Autocatalytic Mechanism. 

Morgan participated in a two-part internship with ExxonMobil in which she held the position of a process engineer in the Polypropylene division of the Chemical Plant in Baytown, TX, as well as a more business related position as an analyst for the Global Marine Transportation Optimization group in Fairfax, VA. Morgan's leadership roles on campus included Honors Ambassadors, Tau Beta Pi, which is UT's Engineering Honors Society, the Society of Women Engineers, and the Haslam Scholars Program Community Service Project.

Morgan is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Cornell University.
