Student Engagement Coordinator

Biography

Dr. Matt Blaylock joined Honors as a graduate teaching assistant in 2013 and assumed the role of Student Engagement Coordinator in 2016 after receiving his PhD.

Matt's primary responsibilities include:

  • Management of student engagement for all four honors programs
  • Advisement of honors student groups
  • Oversight of the honors living and learning community

Education

Matt received his BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 2005. He later majored in history at the University of North Carolina Asheville and then received an MA in American History from Western Carolina University in 2011. Matt earned his Ph.D. in American History at UT in 2017.
