Marianela D’Aprile is a fifth-year architecture student minoring in French from Buenos Aires, Argentina by way of Martin, Tennessee and Santiago, Chile. During her third year at UT, she founded IMPRINT., a publication series that showcases student work and seeks to expand discourse within the College of Architecture and Design. In 2014, she completed a three-month internship at the architecture firm ELEMENTAL in Santiago. Her research and areas of interest center on the relationship between architecture and literature, and she is interested in the ways in which fiction can augment and inform reality. Marianela is pursuing a Master of Science in Architecture with a concentration in History, Theory and Society at the University of California, Berkeley.
