Economics and Philosophy
Kyler Groner, from Morristown, Tennessee, is a Haslam Scholar majoring in economics and philosophy. Kyler is interested in studying poverty and political inequality. He is considering a career in education or law where he can make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. In high school, Kyler was highly nationally ranked for public speaking and debating and recognized statewide for performances in interpretative theater. On campus, Kyler is a resident assistant, involved in undergraduate research, and a volunteer at Dogwood and Pond Gap Elementary School. In his free time, Kyler enjoys competitive powerlifting, playing guitar, hiking, and cooking.
