Kristina Cantin is the Assistant Director of Advising and Research for the Honors and Scholars Programs. She has taught in both Anthropology and Sociology departments and also worked for many years as a professional advisor for students across majors. Kristina received her Ph.D. in Anthropology from Washington State University, M.Ed. in Cross-Cultural and Community Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh, and B.A. in International Relations from the University of Minnesota. She has also conducted field work in eastern Slovakia and southwestern Ukraine.
She is enthused about helping students connect their skill sets and interests to the many opportunities offered by Honors.
When she’s not helping students explore their opportunities, Dr. Cantin can be found exploring East Tennessee’s neighborhoods, mountains, rivers, and music.
