Biography

Katie Corbin works with Honors & Scholars as the Graduate Assistant for Haslam Scholars.

Her responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with event planning for the Haslam Scholars program
  • Providing administrative support for the Haslam Scholars program
  • Planning and implementing service opportunities for the Haslam Scholars program

After living internationally with her family and growing up in Huntsville, Alabama, Katie attended Auburn University. Engaging with campus organizations, she developed her love for preschool education and discovered she also enjoyed working with undergraduates. She made a lot of play dough and played many games with both age groups. Through her master’s program, Katie is excited to pursue preschooler enrichment and parent education within the Knoxville community. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, being outdoors, and propagating plants.

Education

Katie is a master’s student in the clinical mental health program at the University of Tennessee. She graduated from Auburn University with her Bachelor of Arts in psychology and Bachelor of Science in human development and family studies, with a concentration in infancy and preschool.
