Kathleen Connelly majored in philosophy at the University of Tennessee. In addition to being a Haslam Scholar, during her tenure at UT she served as Vice President of Mock Trial, as secretary of Campus Disability Advocates, as a senator in the Student Government Association, and as an opinion columnist for the Daily Beacon. Her undergraduate thesis was on emergence and ontic structural realism in the philosophy of science. She graduated summa cum laude and was recognized as the philosophy department’s Outstanding Graduate of 2015. She is currently pursuing a PhD in philosophy and science studies at the University of California, San Diego.
