Hunter Davis is a junior in the Chancellor’s Honors Program and is from a small town in East Tennessee called Bean Station. He is a civil engineering major with concentrations in structural design and construction management and a minor in engineering entrepreneurship. Hunter is also a member of the Heath Integrated Business & Engineering Program where he takes classes and designs solutions for companies every semester with his cohort. As a civil engineer, Hunter would like to work in an engineering firm upon graduation and work his way towards an executive position or start his own company.
Because of his involvement with the Chancellor’s Honors Program, Hunter has been challenged to take classes that have been outside his engineering major, ultimately exposing him to a more intellectual and holistic experience as a student. Hunter has also worked as an office assistant at the Honors & Scholars front desk since he was a freshman and decided to become an Honors Ambassador because of his passion for outreach and sharing his experiences with prospective students. In his free time, Hunter loves to play the piano, dance with friends, watch a Netflix original, or travel to somewhere he’s never been before! Hunter is also learning Spanish and hopes to become fluent one day.
