College Scholars - Intersectional Psychosociology of Justice
Geoffrey is a senior Haslam Scholar, majoring in a program of his design that draws elements from psychology, sociology, philosophy, and social work. Specifically, Geoffrey seeks to understand how systems of oppression can contribute to the mental health of minorities by applying critical race theory, feminist theory, and queer theory to psychology. Geoffrey supplements this intersectional approach to his academics with student activism and advocacy, most noticeably through Diversity Affairs within the Student Government Association and Sex Week through Sexual Empowerment and Awareness at Tennessee.
Outside of class, Geoffrey remains active by practicing dance and fencing, a sport he has participated in for over a decade. He also enjoys shopping and experimenting with the everyday art form of clothing.
