Emily Diehl is a freshman Haslam Scholar who is currently planning to major in Industrial Engineering. She hopes to pursue research in Health Systems Engineering, focusing on more efficient and personal health care delivery methods. Whether she uses her research to increase efficiency in emergency rooms or to help develop senior care facilities for the aging population in the United States, she hopes to assist others which the knowledge she gains at UT. Before attending UT, Emily was involved in research with the AgeLab at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and attended a pre-collegiate program at Vanderbilt University. In her free time, Emily enjoys reading all types of books, plays ice hockey and sings along with the radio a little too loudly.
