Alex Pellegrino

Honors Leadership Graduate Teaching Assistant


Alex Pellegrino works with the Honors Leadership Program as the Graduate Teaching Assistant.

Her responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the Legacy Leadership Series and other events to promote student leadership and engagement
  • Advising and communicating with students to aid in their program experience
  • Collecting information for the weekly newsletter and blog to promote the program’s events and student reflections
  • Organizing community service opportunities and other events for the program

Ms. Pellegrino majored in politics with a concentration in legal studies at the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas.  She also received her master’s in criminal justice from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, completing a master’s thesis on ritual elements of capital punishment and their social control purpose.  She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in sociology with a concentration in criminology at the University of Tennessee. Aside from academics, in her spare time Alex enjoys reading, hiking, and cinema.
