Biography

Aeryn is a junior in the Chancellor's Honors Program from Murfreesboro, TN. Aeryn is majoring in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and minoring in Hispanic Studies. Aeryn came to UTK with the intention to follow a pre-med track, but got interested in learning more about sustainability and climate change during their freshman year. After getting involved with the Office of Sustainability and various organizations both on- and off-campus, they realized that they have a passion for learning and educating about climate justice. Aeryn is now planning to pursue graduate education and a career in public health, concentrating on environmental justice and sustainable development.

Aeryn's Involvement: Resident Assistant in Dogwood Hall, a Make Orange Green Ambassador through the Office of Sustainability, a member of oSTEM (a club for LGBTQ+ people in STEM), and club Ultimate Frisbee
