Aubrey Bader is a devoted student, mentor, athlete, volunteer, sister, daughter, and friend. She enjoys a challenge and isn’t afraid to try something new—a new class, sport, or even instrument. She thoroughly enjoys music and has played violin for six years, taught herself guitar, and has participated in church choir, bells, and liturgical dance since middle school. But she is not only musical; Aubrey is athletic and has played on the Varsity tennis and lacrosse teams throughout high school with much success in both sports. At the same time, she is an avid student and has increased her workload each year of high school. She is a consistent member of the church youth group and has been on mission trips to Atlanta, New Orleans, Harlan (Kentucky), and Philadelphia and plans to go to the Yucatan in Mexico this summer. She finds these experiences extremely valuable since they are a way to escape her own privileged life and help improve the lives of others who aren’t so lucky. This has inspired Aubrey to continue mission work every summer and inspire her peers to do the same or some form of volunteer work. In addition to travelling for mission trips, she has been lucky enough to travel across the US and Europe and enjoys seeing the world outside her home city. Aubrey is very excited for this opportunity given to her at the University of Tennessee.
