Commencement

The Haslam Scholars Program plans a special graduation ceremony and dinner each spring to celebrate and honor the tremendous accomplishments and achievements of each graduating scholar. Scholars from each cohort, faculty mentors from UT’s academic units, UT administration, and family and friends are invited to listen to reflections from the graduating class, the Haslam family, and the program’s administrators. Graduating seniors hear from a top UT administrator who gives a keynote speech to their scholars to guide them through their next academic transition. Each graduating scholar is bestowed the Haslam Scholar Medallion to commemorate their hard work and dedication to scholarship, and upon their graduation from the university, awarded an honors diploma.

After commencement, Haslam Scholars carry out prestigious national and international scholarships and fellowships, attend competitive graduate and professional programs at universities across the world, and gain professional employment in their respective fields of study.
