Haslam Scholars Funds Request

Haslam Scholars are encouraged to participate in transformative co-curricular experiences that complement their academic interests and passions during their time as a Haslam Scholar. Scholars in good standing are eligible to receive up to $5,000 to support their participation in co-curricular experiences such as:

1. Travel to conferences or to study abroad
2. Research supplies and related costs
3. Wages for unpaid internships or research experiences (Must submit hours through Haslam-Scholars-Unpaid-Experience-Work-Hours-Log-Signature-required-1)
4. Housing costs for out of area experiences not already covered by the experience
5. Fees related to applying and visiting graduate schools or to accepting a job offer

Scholars may request funds more than once if they have not used the total $5,000. Please note that students will need to provide documentation of associated costs and wages, and a letter of support from their faculty, regarding research supplies and conference attendance. Before submitting this form, please refer to the Haslam Scholars Stipend Usage Guidelines .

For most experiences, scholars may request funds at any time but should allow a 3–4 week process time. In order to allow the necessary processing time for study abroad funding, scholars should request funds for the appropriate semester no later than

October 31 for spring semester
March 31 for summer semester
June 30 for fall semester

**Please note that when requesting reimbursement of funds directly to a student account, it is the student’s responsibility to contact One Stop to ensure that they have enough financial aid eligibility to receive the funds they are requesting. **
