UNHO 287: Science and History of the Manhattan Project with Dr. Riedinger

This semester, a small group of honors students has the privilege of engaging with retirees from the Oak Ridge National Lab in a course titled, The Science and History of the Manhattan Project. Taught by Dr. Lee Riedinger, Director of the Bredesen Center, Professor of Physics, and long-time friend to the Honors & Scholars community, and Mr. Ray Smith, retired Historian of Y-12, this course focuses on the interplay of science and history in relation to the development of the nuclear age.
