The Chancellor’s Honors Program (CHP) commencement ceremony will take place on May 10 at 10:30 AM in the Student Union Auditorium. Please join us in celebrating the 2019 class of CHP graduates.

Drew Holcomb, best known as the singer/songwriter who fronts Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors, will deliver this year’s commencement address. Drew grew up in Memphis and attended the University of Tennessee as a member of the Honors Program. After completing his bachelor’s degree at UT, he attended the University of St. Andrew’s in Scotland, earning master’s degree in divinity.

Drew married Ellie Bannister, fellow UT honors alum and musician, in 2006. Shortly after their marriage, Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors was formed. To date, the band has released twelve studio albums. Earlier this year, Drew embarked on the “You & Me” tour with Ellie,  a former member of the Neighbors. The Holcombs currently live in Nashville and have two children.

Students, families, and guests are invited to join us for a brief reception following the ceremony in the Student Union Ballroom. Refreshments will be served.
