Seeking Faculty for Spring 2018 CHP Lecture Series

We are seeking faculty to present topics of interest in lecture, discussion, or workshop format for the CHP Faculty Lecture Series in 2017-2018. Past topics include a mindfulness and meditation, conflict management, mandatory vaccinations, diseases associated with wild bird feeders…you name it!

Often presented to an audience of about 25 students, these lectures serve as extracurricular academic experiences that expose our students to academic material and encourage our students to learn about subjects beyond their major field of study.

Typically, faculty lectures take place at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings.

Past faculty lectures have included:

  • “Embracing Opportunities: Conflict Management and Difficult Dialogues” presented by Dr. Courtney N. Wright
  • “Race, Racism, and Nonviolent Resistance” presented by Dr. Judson Laughter
  • “Techonomics: Entering the Virtual Age” presented by Dr. Lee Martin
  • “The Importance of Innovation and Creativity in Business (and in Life)” presented by Dr. Charles Noble

If you are interested in taking part in the CHP faculty lecture series during the 2017-2018 academic year, please submit the form below. We look forward to hearing from you!
