Course description:

This course will explore the history of the national park and its people. We will study the campaign and motivating factors that led to the creation of a national park as well as those who were personally affected. Particular focus will be given to how individual and group advocacy has shaped park growth over the ensuing years as well as its continued impact on park development today.
