UT Rising Sophomores and Transfer Students

The Chancellor’s Honors Program annually admits a select number of rising UT sophomores as well as a select number of students who have transferred to UT from accredited institutions of higher learning in the U.S. and abroad.

Students admitted via sophomore and transfer admission must meet the same program requirements as their peers admitted during freshman admissions.  The only exception is Chancellor’s Honors First-Year Seminar (UH 100), which is waived for students who are awarded sophomore and transfer admissions.  For this reason, applications from students who have undertaken course work parallel to UH 100, such as via UT’s Freshman Seminar program (FYS 129), are given preference.
