Parents and Guardians

We understand and appreciate that the parents and guardians of our prospective students have a loving interest in helping their daughters and sons make an informed college selection decision.  While our formal communications are always directed to prospective students themselves, as they must and should be, we welcome informal parent involvement in the admissions process and stand ready at all times to answer questions and address concerns.  While most of the questions we normally receive are directed to all matters honors, we are also more than happy to answer general questions about the University of Tennessee or to direct you to colleagues who know best.

We are confident that membership in the Chancellor’s Honors Program can offer your sons and daughters a stimulating and supportive, enriching and engaging, and, in the end, highly rewarding educational experience within the context of a nationally top-ranked flagship research university.  We mean to help your students achieve at UT everything and more than they might otherwise achieve at a relatively more exclusive (and expensive) private institution.  We take our mission very seriously.

Please do not overlook the value of the Honors Community and the many other benefits and privileges that accrue to members of the program.  We look forward to answering your questions.
