Michael Lidwin is currently a freshman Haslam Scholar majoring in Architecture and plans to minor in Sustainability and Environmental Studies. Coming from one of the nation’s fastest growing suburbs, Michael dreams of working on new solutions to combat rapid suburban growth. Rather than resort to deforestation and cookie-cutter homes, his goal is to design spaces that are not only refreshing and exciting to interact within, but are also regenerative in their energy supply. He is looking forward to studying abroad to draw inspiration from how other cultures design their communities. When he is not in the studio, Michael enjoys running, competing in marathons, refining his drawing skills, and watching re-runs of Friends.
