Anna-Lise Burnette

Biography

Anna-Lise Burnette double majored in Global Studies with a Concentration in Global Society and Culture, and Asian Studies with a concentration in Japanese. For her honors thesis project, Anna-Lise wrote a bilingual children’s book that will be in Japanese and English.

Anna-Lise has spent an extensive amount of time interning with the Metro Pulse and also wrote for the Daily Beacon.  Anna-Lise has served as an Honors Enrichment Fellow in fall 2010 and fall 2011, and volunteered at the International House on campus as well as with Redeeming Hope Ministries.  She was the 2011-12 Asian Studies Department Representative for the Dean's Student Advisory Council.

Anna-Lise is accompanying the rising junior Haslam Scholars on their study abroad program to Japan in Summer 2012, after which she will join Americorps.
