Honors Council

The Honors Council is the Chancellor’s Honors Program’s student government. Composed of elected representatives and volunteer committee members from each of the four graduating classes of Chancellor’s Honors students, the Honors Council participates in the “shared governance” of the CHP and the Honors Community, as well as sponsors events, service projects, and social activities geared to the needs and interests of its members and of honors students at UT generally. The Honors Council facilitates the development of a supportive and stimulating community of scholars and provides an avenue for the CHP to benefit from the outstanding leadership ability of its student members. Not only should Chancellor’s Honors students join the Honors Community, they should also consider active membership in the Honors Council.
