Honors Council Committees

CHP students are eligible to join an Honors Council Committee beginning their first year and until they graduate from the program. Committee applications are available in the early fall each year. Contact Kevin Tolliver at ktolliv2@utk.edu if you'd like more information about joining one of the Honors Council Committees.

Community Service

The Community Service committee is the most recent addition to the Honors Council. Members will both organize and participate in community service opportunities for Honors Council members and Chancellor's Honors Program students.

Events

In collaboration with the Honors Council, the Events committee sponsors numerous social and academic events throughout the year. The Events committee pursues providing activities of interest to all Honors students and, furthermore, exists to foster an active Honors community at the university.

Publications

The publications committee works directly with the Chancellor's Honors Program's Communications Coordinator. Students on the committee are interested in journalism, web site design, publishing, photography, and creative writing. Online student and alumni profiles will be written and a new journal and alumni newsletter are in planned to debut this year.
