Special 1800 Issue of Time
![]()
Students in Dr. Bruce Wheeler's Chancellor's Honors First-Year Seminar, 1800: The Birth of Modern America, spent their first semester at UT imagining what an issue of Time would look like if published in the year 1800. The result is a 45-page magazine that reports on everything from the work of New York prison inspectors and the rise and fall of yellow fever to the "recent" publication of The Life and Memorable Actions of George Washington.
