Baker Journal of Applied Public Policy Submission Request

Hello, everyone,

My name is Beth Wilson, and I’m a 2007 graduate of the Chancellor’s Honors program.  I am this year’s incoming Editor-in-Chief for the Baker Journal of Applied Public Policy, published by the Howard H. Baker, Jr. Center for Public Policy.  The Baker Journal is seeking student submissions for its upcoming publications, and we would love to publish your Honors project!

The mission of the Baker Journal is to provide public officials, activists, academics, and citizens with research and commentary on matters of public policy.  In addition to publishing articles from prominent scholars in fields from Political Science to Sociology, the Baker Journal also prides itself on selecting articles written by students.  Previous topics for student publications in the Baker Journal have ranged from U.S. dependency on foreign oil to immigration reform. This is an excellent opportunity for you to be published in a reputable journal, right after you graduate from UT!

If your Honors project is a paper that touches on a public policy topic, please submit it to beth@utk.edu by June 20th.  The Selection Committee requests that all papers be at least 10 to 30 pages in length double-spaced, including sources and endnotes.  If you have any questions about article submission or the publication process, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

For general information on the Baker Journal, please visit our website:

Sincerely,
Beth Wilson
Editor in Chief 2008-2009
