Lori Johnson
Assistant Director
Lori Johnson is the Assistant Director of the Chancellor's Honors and Haslam Scholars Programs. Her main responsibilities include web site maintenance, newsletters and weekly updates, and event planning. Lori attended the University of Tennessee for her undergraduate work and received a B. S. in communications with a major in advertising in 2004. As an undergraduate, Lori was involved with many facets of campus life including Student Government Association, Dance Marathon, Greek Life, Orientation Leader, and a loyal Volunteer fan.
Upon graduation Lori headed south to Bulldog country where she attended the University of Georgia and earned a M. Ed. with a concentration in college student affairs administration. It was tough for her to be a Vol fan in Georgia, so as soon as she graduated, Lori began looking for a job back where she truly belongs at the University of Tennessee. After working at UT as an Admissions Counselor, she accepted her position in the Chancellor’s Honors Program. Lori enjoys gardening, flowers, herbs, and vegetables, and photography. She is married to Jon McMurrray Johnson, UT Class of '04, an attorney with Jerry N. Estes Law Offices in Athens, Tennessee. They enjoy the company of their two cats, Cinnamon and Tiger Lily.
