Amelia Grubbs

Amelia Grubbs, Secretary of the Honors Council, is currently a junior at the University of Tennessee. She graduated in 2007 as Valedictorian from South-Doyle High School in Knoxville, TN, where she also was Vice President of both the Spanish Club and Mu Alpha Theta. During high school, Amelia also obtained her Gold Award in Girl Scouts.

Amelia is majoring in Journalism and Electronic Media and minoring in both Communication Studies and Business Administration. After college, she plans to attend law school. In addition to the Honors Council, she is also a Co-Chair for the CHP Publications Committee and is in the Communication Studies club. For her study abroad experience she studied international communication in Paris and Brussels during the 2009 summer term.

Amelia has gained a lot from her involvement in the Honors Council and Chancellor’s Honors Program and is excited to see the expansion of its role throughout the university in the upcoming years.
