Welcome to the Chancellor’s Honors Program at the University of Tennessee!
Tennessee’s flagship research and land-grant state university offers a variety of exciting academic enrichment, enhancement, and refinement opportunities, with the Chancellor’s Honors Program prominent among them. Serving the special academic needs of the University of Tennessee’s growing and diverse ranks of exceptionally high-achieving undergraduate students, the Chancellor’s Honors Program combines merit scholarships with a specialized honors curriculum, research and international and intercultural learning opportunities, and a range of exclusive academic privileges and benefits. Every effort is made to provide honors students the opportunity to realize their full academic potential.
The hallmark of the Chancellor’s Honors Program is community. We aim to facilitate the achievement of nationally and internationally recognized academic excellence by sustaining and nurturing a stimulating community of young scholars at our Knoxville campus and beyond, as they prepare themselves to be Ready for the World. Indeed, the program’s greatest assets are its students, who teach as well as learn from one another. This community of scholars not only fosters world-class academic achievement, it also provides a highly supportive and caring environment that encourages leadership development, personal growth, and service to the community. In addition to being intelligent, highly motivated and hard-working, Chancellor’s Honors students are also imbued with a generous spirit of collaboration, cooperation, and mutual aid. The University of Tennessee is enriched by their many individual and cooperative endeavors.
On behalf of my colleagues, I thank you for your interest in the University of Tennessee’s Chancellor’s Honors Program. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
Sincerely,

Steven P. Dandaneau, Ph.D.
