2011 Haslam Scholars Announced

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, is pleased to announce the 2011 Haslam Scholars. This year’s group of 15 outstanding students is the program’s fourth and final founding class. Beginning in June, the newest Haslam Scholars will join with the first three classes to further develop the program’s distinctive curriculum and student culture and, working together, contribute to their own and the university’s many diverse educational ambitions. 2011 Haslam Scholars

William Barbour
William Barbour, a senior at Dobyns Bennett High School, Kingsport, Tennessee, attended the Governor’s School for Sciences and Engineering and plans to major in Engineering.

John Burnum
John Burnum, a senior at Franklin High School, Franklin, Tennessee, attended the Governor’s School for Computational Physics and plans to major in Physics.

A. Imani Chatman
Imani Chatman, a senior at Siegel High School, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is a National Merit Commended Student who plans to major in Pre-Medicine.

Ryan Clark
Ryan Clark, a senior at Hardin Valley Academy, Knoxville, Tennessee, attended the Governor’s School for the Arts and plans to major in Mathematics and Music.

Cayce Davis
Cayce Davis, a senior at Robinson High School, Little Rock, Arkansas, is active in theater and student council and plans to major in Architecture.

Phoebe Fogelman
Phoebe Fogelman, a senior at Oak Ridge High School, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, is a National Merit Semi-Finalist who plans to major in Engineering.

Evan Ford
Evan Ford, a senior at Brentwood Academy, Brentwood, Tennessee, is president of the National Honors Society and plans major in Physics and Philosophy.

Shivani Goyal
Shivani Goyal, a senior at Hardin Valley Academy, Knoxville, Tennessee, is a member of the freshman mentoring executive board who plans to major in Psychology.

Emma Hollmann
Emma Hollmann, a senior at Cookeville High School, Cookeville, Tennessee, is editor-in-chief of the school newspaper and plans to major in Engineering.

Christopher Ludtka
Christopher Ludtka, a senior at Oak Ridge High School, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, is a National Merit Finalist who plans to major in Engineering.

Tyrel Prentiss
Tyrel Prentiss, a senior at Webb School, Knoxville, Tennessee, is a National Merit Semi-Finalist who is undecided.

Kenna Rewcastle
Kenna Rewcastle, a senior at Notre Dame High School, Chattanooga, Tennessee, is a National Merit Commended Student who plans to major in Chemistry and Environmental Science.

Julia Ross
Julia Ross, a senior at Pope John Paul II High School, Hendersonville, Tennessee, attended the Governor’s School for International Studies and is undecided.

Fadi Saleh
Fadi Saleh, a senior at the Governor’s Academy of Mathematics and Science, Knoxville, Tennessee, co-founded the philosophy club and plans to major in Microbiology.

R.J. Vogt, a senior at Centennial High School, Franklin, Tennessee, is a National Merit Semi-Finalist who is undecided.
